New Hair Loss or Scalp Condition Visit

New Hair Loss or Scalp Condition Visit
A comprehensive evaluation for new patients experiencing hair loss, excessive shedding, thinning, scalp itching, dandruff, or another scalp concern.
After booking, you will complete a detailed intake form and receive instructions for taking standard scalp photos. We will also mail you a loaner dermatoscope, a small device that attaches to your phone and captures highly magnified images of your scalp and hair follicles.
Please select a visit date at least 7 days from today to allow time for the loaner device to arrive at your home. Prepaid shipping is included both ways. The dermatoscope must be returned within 30 days after your appointment. Please note: you will need another person to help you take the required images.
Before your appointment, Dr. Asempa will review your intake form, scalp photos, and dermatoscope images. During your visit, she will explain her assessment, answer your questions, and develop a personalized treatment plan with you.
Some hair and scalp conditions require an in-person biopsy, injections, or another procedure. When appropriate, Dr. Asempa will refer you to a trusted dermatologist near you.

New Skin Visit
A focused evaluation for one primary skin concern, such as acne, eczema, rosacea, discoloration, or developing a skincare routine.
After booking, you will complete an intake form and receive instructions for taking clear, well-lit photographs of the affected area. You will need someone to help photograph your skin for the best quality photos.
Before your appointment, Dr. Asempa will review your intake form and photographs. During your visit, she will explain her assessment and develop a personalized treatment plan with you.
This appointment covers one primary skin concern. Please book an Extended Consultation if you have multiple unrelated concerns or would like additional time.
Please note: Virtual visits are not appropriate for urgent or emergent full body rashes, full-body skin cancer screenings or for evaluating new, changing, bleeding, or otherwise concerning growths on the skin.

Follow- up Hair-loss or Scalp Condition Visit
This visit type is ONLY for established Align Dermatology patients following up on a hair or scalp condition previously evaluated by Dr. Asempa.
This appointment is limited to the hair or scalp condition previously evaluated through Align Dermatology. Please book a New Hair-loss or Scalp Condition Visit for a new or unrelated concern.

Follow- up Skin Visit
This visit type is ONLY for established Align Dermatology patients following up on a skin condition previously evaluated by Dr. Asempa.
This appointment is limited to the skin condition previously evaluated through Align Dermatology. Please book a New Skin Visit for a new or unrelated concern.

Extended Consultation
An extended appointment for new or established patients who have multiple skin or hair concerns, a complex medical history, or would simply like additional time with Dr. Asempa.
This visit provides more time to review your history, discuss your diagnosis and treatment options, address questions, and develop a comprehensive care plan.
